Stable Smiles: A Look Inside Our New Home

We’re kicking off this month’s newsletter with a little magic—captured through the lens of our incredibly talented friend and volunteer, Kristen Vallejo.

✨ Haven’t seen the new property yet? Kristen’s stunning reel offers a front-row seat to the joy, beauty, and healing that happens here every day. From quiet moments between horse and human to the wide open space we now call home—it’s all in there.

And let’s be honest: if you’ve ever seen a photo of Stable Friendships that looks incredible, the credit probably goes to Kristen.

We’re proud to highlight Wefayo.com, a compassionate, community-based platform created by a Westchester father who couldn’t find reliable resources for his son with special needs, so he built one. The goal? To ensure no family navigates the journey alone.

As Kevin Field, Wefayo’s founder and co-creator, shared during a recent episode of the Dare to Be Authentic podcast, "Wefayo is a platform that connects people with medical conditions and special needs to supportive communities, resources, and opportunities."

🌟Teamwork in action—Jennifer and Jessica supporting Brett in his Speech Therapy Session

🎉New Board Spotlight: Jennifer Gressin-Rybalov Joins the Team!

If Jennifer’s face looks familiar, it’s because she’s already a beloved part of our therapy team. As a skilled speech and language pathologist, Jennifer has been making a difference in sessions through her deep understanding of oral motor development—something that aligns beautifully with equine movement.

Now, we’re thrilled to welcome her to our Board of Directors! Her dedication, clinical insight, and heartfelt passion for our mission make her an incredible addition. You’ll often find Jennifer co-treating alongside our therapy team, always bringing energy, empathy, and expert care to her work.

Outside the barn, Jennifer’s compassion extends to animals of all kinds—she frequently fosters rescue kittens and volunteers with several local rescue organizations. We’re so lucky to have her heart and her voice helping guide the future of Stable Friendships.

Answer: C) Daylight hours! ☀️
Shorter days trigger hormonal changes that tell a horse’s body it’s time to start growing a thicker coat for winter, even if it’s still warm out.
